Known as a destination for photoshoots (Victoria's Secret shot Candice Swanepoel here) and films, Florblanca is an award-winning luxury Costa Rica resort on the shores of the Pacific coast - on the idyllic beaches of the Nicoya Peninsula.
Guests come to this resort for many reasons including being in the presence of an unspoiled tropical jungle overlooking the world famous surf of Playa Santa Teresa, to enjoy fresh, healthy, and locally grown food prepared by their chefs at Nectar. Senses are stimulated with spa treatments, surfing, hiking, horseback riding, or zipline excursions, just to name a few.
But it is the retreat methodology that is a true star allowing guests to connect more deeply with the world around them with professionally guided sessions of Yoga or Pilates.
When taking yoga, Stefano Allegri is an instructor that is worth taking courses from, as he began the deep exploration of "mind body" years ago through the world of marital arts. He studied for more than ten years with Enzo Montanari, a legendary Sensei of Karate-Do. He received the second degree black belt of Karate-Do Shotokan style and became an international instructor of this ancient practice.
Stefano has lived and traveled around the world as he embraced yoga as a discipline. His love of nature, and respect for a country that had no army, moved him to Costa Rica where he took the first steps in Asana Yoga. He continues to train with a number of masters to perfect his craft with the world's most recognized yoga masters in the world.
When taking his sessions, you realize that Stefano loves working with the anatomy and alignment of the body. His yoga practice is both on and off the mat - Stefano lives yoga. His classes are a journey of the mind and the body and he always teaches with passion, joy and a fabulous sense of humor. In his own words, "The expression of your face, is the expression of your practice…keep always the sense of humor." When scheduling your session, you can opt to be a part of an open class, create your own group experience or have a one-on-one session for indvidual guidance and immersion.
