COVID-19 has created interesting situations across the globe. Many of us have to look at how we go about our day to ensure that we are safe and sound, we have been staying in due to quarantine and we have found alternate ways live our life. Monday of this week. the Barcelona Gran Teatre del Liceu opera house opened by performing their first concert since the lockdown from the pandemic. While many locations work on the logistics of how to have guests while being mindful of social distancing, this venue played to a gathering of plants and the human audience was able to enjoy the performance via livestream! We have always enjoyed the city of Barcelona as it’s one of our favorites to visit because of the art, architecture, food and music. Such an interesting way to open while being mindful of the current state that we have all been navigating.
The idea of nature taking more of a presence came from Spanish artist, Eugenio Ampudia who was inspired when he, “heard many more birds singing. And the plants in my garden and outside growing faster. And, without a doubt, I thought that maybe I could now relate in a much intimate way with people and nature.”
The theater will gift the pants to local health workers as a thank you for their tireless work over the past few months. The national state of emergency in the country was lifted on Sunday.
